We flew Prince Rupert CYPR to Sandspit CYZP, located in the Queen Charlotte Islands off British Columbia's northern coast. This will be the truest statement you read today as the U.S./Canada border is located in the middle of Pearse Canal, just off the shore north of Prince Rupert.

We flew VFR, fanda's Dash 8, DHC8Q311 in Canadian Regional colors. The weather was close to minimums but we were confident we could airfile IFR if needs be. The weather was windy but legal: reporting 1100' broken at Sandspit. It was windy! Did I say the wind was blowing 35kts? We whiteknuckled it down thru the skud at CYZP and wrestled it onto the runway using full left rudder; in reality, we did exceed the DHC8's crosswind component but what the heck, it's only a simulation. Here we are leaving Prince rupert.
